By Miss Sally???
A New Chapter: From By Miss Sally to Stitch and Dagger Apparel
When I started By Miss Sally in 2011, I was a college kid crocheting in a dorm room, just trying to make cool things that made people smile. I named the business as a quiet tribute to my dad — he used to call me “Miss Sally” whenever I was in a creative mood, drawing pictures or sewing clothes for my dolls. That nickname stuck around for 14 years.
As time went on, crocheting started to take a toll on my wrists, so I looked for new creative outlets. First came vinyl and a Cricut machine, then sublimation printing, then a laser... I was deep in crafter ADHD mode and loving (almost) every minute of it. I’ve always poured myself into my work — it’s more than a job, it’s a part of me.
In 2020, I moved my workspace out of my spare bedroom (and, let’s be honest, my living room too) into a workshop in Union, SC. It was the first time I had a space fully dedicated to creating. While it had the potential for a storefront, I never opened to the public — because at the end of the day, my heart has always been in the making, not the selling.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve probably seen the shift happening slowly. Truthfully, by 2022 I knew the name By Miss Sally no longer felt like me — even though the business was thriving, something felt off. I wanted to make a change, but fear kept me standing still. And honestly? Things started to feel stagnant.
In March 2025, I moved the studio to Inman, SC, cutting my daily commute from 28 miles to just 9. That move felt like the right time to finally commit to the next evolution of this business. I started the legal steps to change the name and began a full rebrand.
So now — allow me to introduce you to Stitch and Dagger Apparel.
Same maker. Same attention to detail. Same love and hustle poured into every order. But with a whole new aesthetic and a fresh creative direction.
I've downsized, sold off equipment I rarely used, and doubled down on what truly sets my soul on fire: making edgy, meaningful designs that reflect who I am now. I’m a lifelong reader and fantasy nerd, and you're going to see a lot more of that influence in the pieces I’ll be releasing over the next few months.
This rebrand isn’t about starting over — it’s about stepping fully into who I am now. By Miss Sally brought me here, and I’ll always be incredibly grateful for that chapter. But Stitch and Dagger Apparel is where I’m meant to be now — and I hope you’ll stick around for everything that’s coming next. Thank you for being here through it all. You make it all worth it.
